Our Erasmus+ Adventure

5. 6. 2025

In May 2025, ten first-year students had the exciting opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ project in Hungary. The theme of our project, Green Learning, Happy Living, shaped everything we experienced during our stay.

Our journey began in the charming town of Kisújszállás, where we teamed up with Hungarian students to explore the important topic of sustainability. Through creative presentations, idea-sharing sessions, and engaging group activities, we not only gained valuable knowledge but also formed new friendships.

One of the highlights of our stay was a visit to a local rice farm, where we learned about the fascinating process of rice cultivation and how delicious snacks are made from it—we even got to taste them! Our adventure continued with a trip to the Mátra Mountains, where we hiked up Kékes, Hungary’s tallest peak. We also explored the scenic Lake Tisza on a peaceful boat ride, soaking in the natural beauty of the region.

The cultural part of our trip took us to Debrecen, one of Hungary’s largest and most historic cities. We strolled through the city center, admired its impressive architecture, and visited the beautiful university library. Our next stop was Budapest! We marveled at the stunning views from Buda Castle and Fisherman’s Bastion, explored the interactive exhibits at the Money Museum, and admired the Hungarian Parliament—both from the inside and outside. Our final evening was spent cruising along the Danube, with the city lights creating a magical backdrop.

We are truly grateful for the Erasmus+ trip to Hungary, the experiences we shared, and the memories we created together. We’re already looking forward to welcoming our Hungarian partners to Ostrava in September!
